Project Translation
Available Translations
Translations descriptions:
Atol is written using English as default language. Other
translations can be added to the program by preparing the message
catalog file (.po file) which contains all the strings from the
application translated into the new language.
Steps for translation:
- download "template.pot" file and rename it to the new name
using two letter ISO country code related to the new language
translation (for example: for italian language new name would be
"it.po").
- now load this new file into the poEdit
- in the catalog file settings set translator name to your
name, set catalog language nme and ISO codepage for your language
- translate all entries in the catalog from English to new
language
- save the translated file to disk. Results are actually two
files: it.po and it.mo
This other file is the same catalog compiled in the binary mode (this
file is actually being distributed to the users).
- send both files to the atol project manager
Other translations also include translating "Tips of the day"
("tips.txt" file).
For this use a plain text editor and send us the file
(italian translation would be stored in "tips_it.txt" file)
